1. Watch adjustment
(1) Adjust time and calendar
0A: Tighten thread position of the threaded handle
0: Normal position: manual winding position (rotating the handle clockwise)
1: First gear: Turn the handle clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the day or date
2: Second gear: adjust the hour and minute hands of the rotating handle
Note: There is no second gear for non-calendar watches, and no second hand for two-hand watches.
Watch adjustment note: Do not adjust the time between 20:00-04:00. During this period, the watch calendar and other functions are working. Adjusting the time may damage the important parts of the watch.
(2) Winding up the mechanical watch
Mechanical watch winding is divided into manual winding and automatic winding. Manual winding mechanical watch needs to be wound every day, which helps to ensure that the watch stores enough energy. The mechanical watch with super long running time can be wound in time according to its continuous running time.
Winding method: When the watch is facing up and the crown is in the normal position, rotate the crown clockwise until it stops. When winding, you can hear the friction of gears when the watch is close to your ear.
Automatic winding mechanical watch: Relying on daily arm activities to drive the winding mechanism of the watch, wearing it for 6 to 8 hours a day can reserve enough energy for the watch. If the watch is left for more than a day or there is little daily activity, you need to manually wind the watch 20 laps before you wear it to pre-store part of the energy to ensure the normal operation of the movement.
The mechanical watch can be transported for 36 to 42 hours after it is full. The size and grade of the movement are different, and the running time varies.
Note: When the crown of a mechanical watch cannot be turned, it is fully wound. Please do not continue to wind it with force to prevent the spring from breaking.
2. Watch care tips
① When the watch is not worn for a long time, clean the watch and store it away. Please keep it in a dry place without mothballs. The chemical substances in mothballs will decompose the lubricating oil of the watch and easily cause the watch to malfunction. Quartz watch should take out the battery in the watch to avoid battery drain and leakage to damage the movement.
② The watch should be kept away from magnetic fields, and avoid placing the watch next to magnetic objects such as TVs, stereos, mobile phones, etc., to prevent the parts inside the watch from being magnetized and affecting timekeeping.
③ A mechanical watch that has not been used for a long time should be wound once every 1 month to ensure the normal operation of the movement in the watch.
④ Mechanical watches have a certain error. The error is within the standard range of ±30 seconds, which is normal. When the error of the watch accumulates to a certain time, please adjust the time manually in time.
⑤ The long-term wearing of the metal watchband will produce stains, so you should wipe the watch frequently to prevent the watch from being corroded by sweat. Leather watchbands should try to avoid contact with moisture, oils, solvents, cleaning products or cosmetics to prevent discoloration or premature aging of the watchband.
3. About waterproof
Kadison watches can meet the waterproof requirement of 30 meters, and the higher waterproof depth is 50 meters. The English words "WATER RESISTANT" or "WATER PROOF" are printed on the back cover.
There are often kinds of waterproof signs: M, ATM, BAR. (ATM and BAR stand for "atmospheric pressure", equal to the pressure at a depth of 10 meters)
30m waterproof logo: 30M, 3ATM, 3BAR
50m waterproof mark: 50M, 5ATM, 5BAR
100 meters waterproof mark: 100M, 10ATM, 110BAR
Note that the waterproof degree of ordinary waterproof watches is limited to pressure-free splashes or light rain. You cannot wear the watch for swimming or diving, nor should it be worn in warm water, bathrooms, and environments with drastic temperature changes, because strong temperature changes will cause deformation and deformation of the waterproof ring. Aging early. To prevent water from entering the watch, it is recommended to take off the watch as much as possible when touching water in life, such as washing dishes and clothes.
